Art in Buckhorn Weston

On a sunny day, with the scent of wisteria in the air, hosts, guests and members of Shaftesbury Refugee Group came together to make new friendships and new T Shirt designs.

Led by Yulia, the newly appointed Chair of Children of Chernobyl, Wells, families sat around a table to put their designs onto T Shirts.

A chance to sit and talk, and to express ideas through art. A simple but deeply meaningful experience.

A chance to share a journey and to give encouragement as displaced people from Syria met families from Ukraine.

Made easier by having Mela, a honey coloured labrador, to provide comfort for children coming to terms with conflict.
