The Spring Countryside Show

With great kindness to displaced people, Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show provided 30 free adult tickets to Ukrainian guests and other refugees in our local area for the rescheduled Spring Countryside Show on 8th and 9th June

We are grateful for the generosity of the organisers and to the weather which at last provided a dry site and two dry days.

Many of the things we take for granted, a rural life, the taste of English foods and the sights of a Country Fair are new and interesting to people displaced from their home country. Often a welcome distraction, from the concerns about family elsewhere.
